Dear Friends,

As the High Holidays are upon us, we are proud to present our High Holidays Services schedule for 5778. High Holiday Services will be held at our beautiful facility at 544 S. Clair Avenue West. Our stunning and heimish location will allow for praying in the utmost of comfort and will provide ample room for our children’s program and adult classes. Please find our registration form and schedule.

At Chabad of Midtown, we have always welcomed every Jew with open arms, regardless of background, affiliation or financial means. Members and non-members, regulars and visitors alike sit side by side with no tickets and no names on the chairs. This is a core value of our shul that we hope always to keep. At Chabad of Midtown we strive to build a strong Jewish community and ensure the continuity of our people by offering our wide range of programs. We do so with compassion and open minds, accepting each Jew as he or she is, at any level of commitment or interest.

As Rosh Hashanah approaches, we reflect on our accomplishments of the past year. Our programs have attracted so many community members from all walks of life to discover the excitement of Judaism and the power of its traditions. Our highly acclaimed Oscar Yolles Hebrew School has over 60 students enrolled, our shul membership is growing and our social/educational programs draw hundreds of participants annually.

I take this opportunity to thank all of you who have joined the membership club this past year and helped ensure the financial stability of Chabad of Midtown. Your contributions have taken us to where we are today and I value your friendship and support. THANK YOU!

While we will maintain Chabad’s policy that everyone is welcome to Chabad of Midtown regardless of payment, we recognize that membership also has advantages. Membership in a shul represents a commitment to the community. It means that you are involved in keeping Yiddishkeit alive and seeing it continue to the next generation. It also gives you a framework of giving and contributing to the shul, thus becoming a partner in supporting the increasing financial needs of the shul which we are all part of and which is thank G-d growing.

As we approach the New Year, I turn to you once again and ask you to renew your membership or consider becoming a new member of Chabad of Midtown. Membership dues for a family are $950 per year (which would include the $360 for High Holidays seats) and can be paid in different instalments. A special membership discount of 50% applies to families with children registered in the Chabad MT Preschool and Day Care, or Chabad MT Hebrew School. To join our membership club please fill out the enclosed form and mail back to 1344 Bathurst Street, Toronto, Ontario M5R 3H7. You can also fill out the secure online membership form here. As we are upgrading our data base system, please fill out the form in full. Thank you.

Looking forward to celebrating this upcoming High Holidays season with you.

Wishing you and your family a Happy and Healthy Sweet New Year.
